Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, large rich blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, light eye shadow blush, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lip, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, kid-over-wooden ball-jointing at knees, kid-over-wooden arms with dowel jointing at shoulders and elbows, bisque lower arms and hands, lovely silk costume. Condition: generally excellent, professional restoration to hands. Comments: French, circa 1867, lovely transitional era poupee with brilliant cobalt eyes of earlier poupees and facial model evolving from mode enfantine to slender-faced lady. Value Points: rare era of poupee to find, this example with especially beautiful face, bisque and painting.
