Carved wooden head with gesso and painted finish, sculpted and painted short blonde ringlet-curled hair, painted blue eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, closed mouth, shapely-wooden torso with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, pewter lower arms and legs, painted black ankles boots. Condition: generally excellent, few rubs on cheeks, original finish. Marks: (stylized painted logo on back torso). Comments: Joel Ellis, Vermont, circa 1875. Value Points: rare to find larger size and blonde hair, original finish, unusual painted signature logo on back torso.
