Description
24" (61 cm.) All wooden doll, one piece head and torso with oval face, strong throat, very shapely torso with defined tiny waist, dowel jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, elongated limbs, wearing original laced corset, and including (frail) silk gown and cape, early shoes, embroidered cap and apron. Condition: good, some retouch on shoulders and hands, facial finish appears original. Comments: Late 1700s, Continental. Value Points: the early doll has very fine facial finish enhanced by enamel eyes and artistic shaping of nose and chin.
