Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass spiral threaded eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with beautifully-shaped lips, pierced ears, brunette hair in braided coiffure, cork pate, French padded-stockinette over metal armature body allowing infinite articulation, bisque hands and lower legs. Condition: generally excellent, some restoration on toes of right foot. Comments: French, circa 1875, with original body by Gesland. Value Points: very beautiful face with finest soft blush, rare body with finely-sculpted bisque hands, beautiful antique costume.
