Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with deposed jointing system allowing the head to tilt side to side and forward (as well as swivel), rounded plump face, cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, delicate eye shadow blush, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid-over-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, swivel joints on upper arms, bisque lower arms and legs, sculpted fingers, bare feet, antique lingerie. Condition: generally excellent, retouch on bisque hands. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: lovely gentle expression on face, the delicate complexion complemented by brilliant eyes, rare wooden body with bisque arms and lower legs.
