Description
12" (30 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulderhead with light brown sculpted boyish hair, intaglio dark blue side-glancing eyes, black upper eyeliner, short feathered brows, closed mouth with modeled open hole in whistling manner, original muslin body with bellows in torso, jointed arms. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 8774 Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912, the model could whistle when bellow squeezed and was marketed as "Whistling Jim". Value Points: all-original novelty doll with original romper suit, socks and shoes, functions well.
