Description
13" (33 cm.) All-cloth stockinette doll with single-seamed head, deeply-pressed facial features depicting a laughing child, oil-painted complexion, brown hair and features, small brown eyes in deeply-set sockets, nostril dots, closed mouth with defined space between the lips, well-defined blushed ears, stitch-jointed shoulders, loosely jointed hips, mitten hands, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some possible touch-ups on hair. Comments: Kathe Kruse, the "Schlenkerchen" model, circa 1925. Value Points: the rarity of the early model is rivaled only by the delightful expression achieved by very defined modeling.
