Description
9" (23 cm.) x 6 1/2" box. A heavy pasteboard box with hand-tinted engraving on the lid depicting two mothers and four children at play in a park setting, titled "Les Jeux Enfantins, Children's Games" contains nine double-sided paper dolls comprising seven boys and two girls. There are ten double-sided costumes with egg-wash finish for the boys, and four for the girls including one holding a doll and one additional clip on doll. Very good condition. The box is labeled H. Duru, editeur and lithographed by H. Jannin. France, circa 1850.
