Description
12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pale outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed. Marks: 4. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1885, maker unknown, the doll was designed to capture the look of the popular French bebe of the era, and, hence, capture that market. Value Points: charming petite doll with pleasing subtle blush of eye shadow and cheeks
