All-wooden doll with socket head, smoothly-carved domed head with well-defined ears, painted brown hair with ochre shading, very deep intaglio brown painted eyes, large black pupils, white eye dots, painted upper eyeliner, thinly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, accent line between the lips, wooden spring-jointed body, holes in feet for posing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan. 17, '11 USA & Foreign Countries. Comments: Schoenhut, model 205, circa 1920, notable for very smooth complexion and hair. Value Points: rare model with distinctive painting, wonderful costume of football player.
