20" (51 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil painted facial complexion, features, and baby hair in shaded brown curls, painted closed eyes as though sleeping, painted lashes, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blushed cheeks and earlobes, cloth ring neck allowing the baby's head to nod realistically to the side, weighted stockinette body to simulate the actual weight of a baby, separately-stitched arms, loosely attached legs, sewn belly button. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse 380 (signed left foot) Kathe Kruse (original paper label). Comments: Kathe Kruse, their Type V model marketed as "Traumerchen", circa 1925. Value Points: rare model with beautifully sculpted and painted face and hair, fine original finish, wearing antique baby costume and preserved in original Kruse box.
