32" (81 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full cheeks, deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, impressed chin and philtrum dimples, separately modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with very plump limbs and straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: faint hairline from crown rim to left eye. Marks:15 (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, the portrait bebe sculpted by Carrier-Belleuse, circa 1882. Value Points: lovely grand size of the sad-faced bebe has lovely complexion and painting. $5000/7000
