11" (28 cm.) Rosy poured wax head of baby with blue glass inset eyes, closed mouth with tiny porcelain teeth, poured wax baby arms and hands, arranged in wrapped taufling presentation with blue ribbon ties. The head removes from the taufling costume which is designed for use as candy container. Excellent condition. French, circa 1880, the candy container taufling was likely presented as a Christening celebration favor or at baby shower of the era.
