Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very full cheeks, pale blue glass spiral threaded eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, mauve blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid bebe body with square-cut collarette, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: two early faint hairlines on forehead from crown rim. Marks: (illegible number). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his first model of bebe, circa 1878. Value Points: loveliest delicate bisque with contrasting eye shadow, splendid eyes, original body, perfect bisque hands.
