Description
19" (48 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, delicately brushstroke-painted baby hair with forelock curl, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, two porcelain lower teeth, composition bent limb baby body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: JDK made in Germany 16. Comments: Kestner, circa 1910. Value Points: especially fine quality of bisque, deeply impressed cheek dimples and laughter crinkles around eyes, original body and body finish.
