Description
14" (36 cm.) Firmly modeled socket head painted facial features, brown eyes with decorative glaze, black and brown upper eyeliner, tiny brows, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, blonde human hair in up-swept style, stitch-jointed arms, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent, soles of shoes missing. Marks: Kathe Kruse (and other illegible markings on left foot). Comments: Kathe Kruse, the VEB model, as indicated by the red paper label she bears, was used during the early East Berlin years, 1950-1952. Value Points: well-preserved example, with original finish, and wearing original costume comprising blouse, panties, pinafore dress, socks and shoes, with original paper label.
