Description
7" (18 cm.) x 3". The paper trade card depicts a bonneted doll head with lavish blonde curls and feathered accent against a pastel background with cherry blossom branch and the lettering "Bebe Jumeau". Signed in lower right corner "C.E. Michelet". The French illustrator/engraver whose work spanned the years 1839-1893 is most remembered for his engravings for the late 19th century edition of Fables of Jean de La Fontaine. Excellent condition.
