21" (53 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of adult lady with oval face and elongated throat, light brown sculpted hair in unusual coiffure, hair drawn from face and forming two draped looped braids at side of head and a coiled braid at front crown rim centered by a large Dresden rose with green petals, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center downcast lips, pierced ears, decorated bodice having Dresden ruffle above painted blue edging and black laced center, muslin stitch-shaped body, nicely costumed in ivory satin gown, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, few typical tiny flakes on Dresden leaves. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: important features of the very rare model include glass eyes, brown color of hair, unusual hair coiffure and decorations, decorated bodice.
