16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval shaped face and strong throat, cobalt blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils, pierced ears, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, brown sculpted hair drawn away from face with delicate stippling of tendrils and decorated with white dotted blue headband with gilt border, elaborately painted and sculpted bodice with lavender painted lace, Dresden ruffle and gold beading, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, lovely costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair, glass eyes, pierced ears, and very elaborate decoration of hair and bodice.
