11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head, very plumply-modeled face, large amber-brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, rose-blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented pale lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, nicely costumed in red silk satin with lace trim, matching bonnet, red silk shoes. Condition: generally excellent, flake at right pierced ear lobe, original body and body finish. Marks: F. 5/0 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1878. Value Points: gorgeous early bebe in very rare size with dramatic large eyes and plump cheeks that contrast the delicate complexion.
