Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial shape, painted brown eyes in well-defined eye sockets, heavily-modeled upper eyelids, dark upper eyeliner, short single-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, brunette mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing brown velvet boy's suit, cap, leather shoes and carrying lithographed tin lunch bucket. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 150 S&H 0. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderfully expressive character whose solemn expression is accentuated by singular modeling around the eyes, original body and body finish, choice bisque.
