Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) Bisque socket head with unusual rounded square-jaw facial shape, sculpted light brown hair with coiled topknot, painted facial features, blue side-glancing eyes with side lashes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, tiny button-shaped nose, unusual triangle-shaped mouth with outlined lips, five-piece paper-mache body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: the rarity of the character is rivaled only by its wonderful whimsical expression, very fine bisque and painting.
