Description
18" (46 cm.) Pink-tinted poured wax shoulderhead, half-moon shaped blue glass eyes, tinted brows and eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast lips, blonde hair in rooted tendril curls, softly-stuffed muslin body, poured wax lower arms and legs, bare feet. Condition: generally excellent, repair on left arm. Marks: Hamley's Regent St. (original body stamp). Comments: English, attributed to Montanari and presented at the prestige London doll shop of Hamley's, circa 1875. Value Points: most pleasing gentle expression, original wig, body, and multi-layered costume and bonnet, with store boutique label.
