Bisque socket head with plump rounded face, bright blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3/0 (head) Au Nain Bleu Paris (body label). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1877, the early period bebe by Steiner, this example presented at the prestige Paris toy store of Au Nain Bleu. Value Points: beautiful presence of the rare tiny early model, original body and body finish, wonderful antique costume including woven bourrelet cap.
