Description
For 17" Huret poupee. Of finely woven wool/linen fabric, the gown features a rounded neckline and sleevelets with attached lappets banded in black velvet and crossed at the front bodice, with further black velvet edging at the neckline and sleeve edges, very full skirt with narrow pleats at the fitted waist, button and loop closure at the back. The interior muslin waist band is stamped "Huret a Paris", and the dress is maintained in especially fine condition. French, circa 1860, from the boutique of Adelaide Huret.
