Description
22" (54 cm.) Bisque socket head depicting an older child, painted azure-blue eyes in well-defined eye sockets, heavily modeled eyelids, thick black upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full expressive lips, brown human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 109 54. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, the model "Elise" from their art character reform series, circa 1910. Value Points: rare larger size of the art model enhances the superb sculpting and painting especially around the mouth, with impressed cheek and chin dimples, original body and body finish, fine antique costume.
