Rare French Seaside Ensemble for Huret Poupee

Of very sturdy densely woven dark brown twill, the two-piece ensemble comprises pants with drawstring waist, along with a matching tie front jack of hip length and with middy collar; the ensemble is accented with applique bands of sienna silk ribbon and ties with brown ribbons. For Huret era 17" poupee, circa 1860, the seaside ensembles are exceptionally rare to find, and this example is superbly preserved.
