Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head with plump face on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, small blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined center line between the outlined lips, pierced ears into head, all-wooden poupee body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees, wearing lovely black silk ensemble with laced bodice, matching cap, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1867. Value Points: lovely presence of the finely-featured poupee with wooden articulated body.
