Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted black lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the shaded lips, pierced ears, dimpled chin, brunette mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body, straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie A 4 (head) (Steiner caduceus stamp on hip). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1884. Value Points: rarer model with compelling shy expression, superb quality of bisque and painting, original signed body and body finish, fine antique costume, folklore style cap with embroidery and beading, leather shoes signed C.M.
