18" (46 cm.) One-piece wooden head and torso with perfectly-egg-shaped head, elongated throat, modeled bosom, flat back and lower torso, cloth upper arms, wooden lower arms, wooden lower legs with jointing at hips and knees, painted green slippers, painted black hair with feathering details around the face and with original ringlet curled wig, painted blue eyes with large black pupils, single stroke upper eyeliner and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, blushed cheeks. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Obergammergau, early 1800s. Value Points: the rare early doll has beautifully-preserved original finish, wonderfully painted curls at each side of face; included with the doll are four original costumes.
