16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows with decorative glaze, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accent line between the lips, brunette mohair wig over plaster pate, early composition and wooden all-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some light early repaint. Marks: X. Comments: Kestner, circa 1885. Value Points: finest quality of bisque enhanced by beautiful facial and complexion painting.
