15" (38 cm.) The matching pair of fans, of very light wood with carved scalloped edging and black lacquered finish which is decorated with hand-painted unique floral and fruit scenes and mother-of-pearl inserts have carved wooden handles, designed for companion conversation when seated beside a fireplace. Excellent condition. French, early 1800s, the romantic set is beautifully preserved and painted.
