15" (38 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, painted facial features, shaded blue down-glancing eyes, black and red upper eyeliner, feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over painted brushstroked short boyish hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2024/4 540 5. Comments: Bruno Schmidt, circa 1912, the facial modeling bears a close resemblance to the firm's doll, model 2033 known as "Wendy". Value Points: the rare model has well-defined solemn expression enhanced by choice bisque, original body, and wearing wonderful antique costume.
