Description
19" (48 cm.) Pink tinted bisque socket-head, narrow blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with full downcast lips, accented space between the lips, full cheeks, deeply-dimpled chin, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6970 Germany 7 (head) Holz-Masse Germany (body). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: especially pleasing and deeply sculpted wistful expression enhances the very choice bisque and complexion, original body and body finish.
