Bisque socket head with plump cheeks, blue painted eyes with decorative glaze, white eye dots, red and black upper eyeliner, delicately-fringed brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with hint of smile, outlined lips, blonde mohair wig in side-coiled braids, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 187 (head) Germany (body). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, from their art character series. Value Points: excellent definition of modeling around the eyes enhanced by decorative glaze on painted eyes, charming pert half-smile, choice bisque and painting, antique schoolgirl costume.
