German Bisque Doll Head with Rare Sculpted Coiffure

4" (10 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval face and elongated throat, pale blonde sculpted hair drawn away from and forming ringlet curls behind each pierced ear, sculpted rose and leaves at the crown and an unusual chignon at the back of head with sculpted vertical barrette, painted facial features, blue eyes, closed mouth, sculpted bodice and blue bow. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: petite model has unusual detail of coiffure especially at back of head.
