Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, lushly-painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, thick brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, silk costume. Condition: generally excellent, original body and body finish. Marks: Mascotte 1. Comments: May Freres, circa 1888. Value Points: the rare to find model has most artistic dramatic decoration around the eyes and mouth, fine quality of bisque.
