14" (36 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead of lady with heart-shaped face, strong elongated throat, sculpted black hair with arranged poufs of curls at each side of face and hair drawn up into three large rolled curls at the crown, painted facial features, brown eyes, painted brows and upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth, slender kid body, wooden lower arms and legs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: rare elaborate coiffure and original state of presentation.
