Bisque socket head, brown glass eyes, delicately-painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, elegantly shaped nose with accented nostrils, accented eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented lips, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden early body with straight wrists and plump modeling. Condition: generally excellent, some body retouch. Marks: 10. Comments: Kestner, circa 1889, the model is known as the "A.T. Kestner" indicating its resemblance to the French bebe by Thuillier whose market the German firm attempted to capture. Value Points: especially appealing in this petite size, the sought-after doll is wearing beautiful cream wool dress with rich broderie anglaise embroidery, undergarments, silk cap, stockings and leather shoes with silk rosettes.
