20" (51 cm.) Honey-toned poured wax shoulderhead of plump-faced child with brass grommets for attachment to body, dark blue glass inset eyes with upper eyeliner, lightly-inset brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, accent line between the pale lips of closed mouth, long blonde mohair braids from inserted hair, poured wax lower limbs with brass grommets for attachment to muslin stitch-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: From Mrs. Peck The Doll's House (...faded stamp on torso). Comments: England, Lucy Peck, circa 1880. Value Points: the pretty child is wearing original sky-blue silk/linen dress with interwoven silvery leaf design, undergarments, socks, leather shoes, and woven bonnet.
