Bisque socket head with elongated plump cheeks, large amber brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, rich mauve eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, delicately-shaded outlined lips with slightly upturned lip corners, defined space between the lips, impressed dimples in chin and philtrum, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 10 (head). Comments: Emile Jumeau, first period portrait bebe, circa 1877. Value Points: rare early doll whose rich brown eyes beautifully contrast the fine delicately blushed complexion, original early body.
