22" (56 cm.) Poured wax shoulderhead with dark rosy complexion, head modeled turned to the side, blue glass inset eyes with dark iris rims, incised eyeliner, tinted brows and lips of closed mouth, inset brunette human hair, softly-stuffed mohair stitch-jointed body attached by brass grommet sew holes, poured wax lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent, hair somewhat cropped in length. Comments: English, circa 1880. Value Points: beautiful and unusual complexion shading and dark original hair, woven silk costume and lace bonnet are likely original.
