Description
11" (28 cm.) Bisque socket head with sculpted reddish-blonde hair having forelock curl and topped by a sculpted blue bellhop-like cap with red dotted band and black neck strap, blue glass side-glancing googly eyes, closed mouth with wide beaming smile, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, wearing flannel uniform. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Dep Elite E 2/0. Comments: Max Handwerck, circa 1915, from his helmet googly series. Value Points: very fine detail of sculpting including forelock curl, defined space between smiling lips, impressed dimples.
