Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with shy smiling expression, accented lips, row of painted teeth, brunette mohair braids over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: C 1/2 185 7 1/2 (head). Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: pristine condition of the rare glass-eyed smiling character, with choicest bisque, original wig, pate, body, body finish, and charming antique costume in the mariner style.
