14" (36 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, amber tinted complexion, painted black baby hair, tiny brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with impish tiny smile, amber tinted composition five-piece baby body, antique cotton costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: A M Ellar (in star) Germany 3 1/2 K. Comments: Marseille, circa 1920. Value Points: well-modeled expressive features, fine quality of bisque and complexion with delicate shading of hair around the forehead on the hard-to-find model.
