Description
19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, open mouth, accented lips, two porcelain teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in mariner style wool costume, undergarments, socks and shoes. Condition: generally excellent, hands retouched. Marks: S&H 1299 7 1/2 Germany. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1900. Value Points: rarer model with exemplary bisque and painting, original body and body finish.
