11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, rich brown complexion, painted black hair with original tuft of mohair curl at crown, brown glass eyes, pierced nostrils with nose ring, open mouth with wide smile, painted row of teeth, pierced ears with earrings, brown composition baby body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf 463 14/0 Germany. Comments: circa 1920, from the firm's South Sea series. Value Points: rare model with exceptional complexion and expression, original "South Seas Baby" paper label, original costuming and jewelry.
