Description
16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with outlined lips, two upper beaded teeth, tongue tip, brunette human hair wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Toto N5 Mialonof A.L. & C. Limoge. Comments: Lanternier, circa 1915, designed by French artist Mialonof during the French art doll movement of that era. Value Points: wonderful character with bon vivant expression, nice antique costume.
