13" (33 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with heart-shaped face and strong throat, black sculpted hair with lushly-arranged curls at each side of face and a braid-wrapped arrangement at crown, painted blue eyes, black single stroke brows and upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, closed mouth, slender kid body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, painted yellow boots. Condition: generally excellent, original finish, craquelure at back shoulderplate. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: excellent detail of hair modeling, original painting, original costume.
