18" (46 cm.) Paper mache shoulderhead with oval face and elongated strong throat, sculpted black hair with center part, looped curls around the ears forming into long ringlet curls at the back of head, painted facial features, dark blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with piquant smile, slender kid body, wooden lower limbs, painted black shoes, antique costume. Condition: excellent original painting and preservation of head, body is original albeit somewhat weak at waist. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: well-detailed coiffure, original finish well preserved.
